Transportation Changes for your child
During the school day:
You may email a change through the bus shortcut on our home page. Please make sure you follow up your email with a phone call immediately to (850) 934-5160. This is to ensure receipt of your request by the appropriate parties. It also serves to verify the identity of you, the custodial parent/guardian. **If you do not confirm via phone, your child will be sent home the normal way.** We accept dismissal changes up until 2:00 PM.
For student safety, your email must come from the email that the school has on record and must include:
* Your full name/relationship to child
* Child’s full name
* Child’s grade and teacher’s name
* Child’s normal mode of transportation
*Details of new method of transportation including: dates valid, who/where (bus #, daycare name, or car rider line).
Please be very specific as to dates and destinations, including exact street addresses and bus number. For example, “grandma’s house” is not a sufficient address identifier. For more information, please consult the Parent-Student handbook or call the office.
When your child must miss school....
Attendance is so important for students' success. When your student cannot come to school due to illness, please notify the school and/or the child's teacher on the day of the absence (if at all possible). When your child returns to school, please send a note explaining nature of the illness. The records will be updated to reflect an excused absence. School work that is missed will be allowed to be made up but must be done in a timely manner (usually within 3 days). Contact your student's teacher for more information on make-up policies.
